The Sequoyah Regional Library System presents 3 mini-conventions across multiple counties featuring popular fandoms, activities, and programs; all for free!

All ages are welcome to participate in scheduled events that will take place at the Woodstock, R.T. Jones, and Pickens libraries!

First hosted in 2016 to great success, Sequoyah-Con is now scheduled for 3 separate dates, so you can have fun at all of the branches throughout March!

R.T. Jones Memorial Library: Nintendo Program Schedule

Animal Crossing Villager Headbands: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM Decorate a headband of your favorite Animal Crossing villager, or design your own! Materials will be provided while supplies last. Clay Kirby Craft: 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM Celebrate the cutest, roundest Nintendo resident by sculpting your own Kirby out of clay! This program will require some precision and fine motor skills but is open to all ages under 18. Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by a participating adult. All materials provided while supplies last! Warp Pipe Flower Centerpieces: 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM Come make a Mario-themed flower centerpiece perfect for any gamer’s table! Materials will be provided while supplies last. MarioKart Racing: 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM Calling all Mario kart fans! Join us for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the switch and play against other patrons. Sign-ups will be at the start of program space is limited so it will be first come first serve. Splatoon Water-Blaster Painting!: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Hey squiddos, it’s time to splash some ink! Embrace your inner squid and use water blasters filled with paint to create your very own masterpiece that you can take home with you! Supplies will be provided along with aprons – it WILL get messy! Super Smash Bros Adult Tournament: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM Challenger approaches! Show off your best combos on Super Smash Bros Ultimate on the switch! Sign-ups will be at the start of program space is limited so it will be first come first serve.

Pickens County Library: Disney Program Schedule

Mickey Mouse Scavenger Hunt: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM Put on your detective hat! Take out your spy glasses! How many Mickey Mouse heads can you find hidden in the Pickens County Library? Bring your best guess up to the front desk to win a prize! Wreck-It Ralph: Lego Build: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM Help Fix-It Felix build up the city before Wreck-It Ralph destroys it. Legos will be available between 3:30-5pm. Princess Story Time: 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM Hear ye, hear ye! Join us at 9:30am for Princess Story Time! Our visiting princess will read a story, sing songs, and answer the questions that our visitors might have! (She may even join you for photographs!) Children must be accompanied by an adult. Toy Story: The Claw!: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM Bring The Claw to life with this Toy Story inspired competition. Make your own claw machine, then compete against your fellow patrons to see who can snatch the most “aliens” Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pick your Sidekick: Petting Zoo: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM Every Disney Prince or Princess needs the perfect Animal Sidekick! Buckner Family Homestead will bring their petting zoo so we can all find a fuzzy friend! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Marvel Superhero Showcase: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM The time has come to show off your superhero skills! Find out whether you’re agile like Black Panther, strong like the Hulk or as accurate as Hawkeye, complete each hero’s challenge and earn their trading card! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Paint your own Disney Character: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Bring your imagination to life as we gather together to create our own Disney characters! All children must be accompanied by an adult. Teen Magic Singdom Karaoke: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Teens! Be Our Guest and Bring Honor to Us All! Join us as we belt out some favorites in Magic Singdom Karaoke! No registration required. Mad Hatter Tea Party: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM The Hatter genially invites all to join us at Pickens County Library for afternoon tea! Drop in anytime between 2:00 and 3:00 for refreshments and crafts. Supplies are limited. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Adult DIY Mouse Ears: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM Calling all Disney Adults! Now’s the time to show your Disney Spirit and create your own unique Mouse Ears! From sewing your ears to picking the perfect bow, sign up to create your Disney masterpiece today! Registration is required. Nintendo Switch Tsum Tsum Festival: 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM Have a BLAST competing against your friends and family in Nintendo Switch Tsum Tsum party games. Choose your favorite Tsum and have a good time playing sports, dancing, mazes and so much more! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Jedi Training Academy: 3:30PM – 4:30PM Harness the power of the Force at our Jedi Training Academy. Meet and train with Jedi masters, then hone your skills in a pool noodle light saber battle. May the Force be with you! Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Woodstock Public Library: Lego Program Schedule

Free Build with LEGOs: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM Come build and play with LEGOs at Sequoyah-Con! Located in the children’s area upstairs, we will have LEGOs out all day for building and creating. The only limit is your imagination! Attendees of all ages are welcome to build. LEGO Car Building and Racing: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM Let’s race some cars together! Use your imagination, creativity, and engineering skills to build your LEGO vehicles, then race against each other on the track and see who has the fastest car! You can build and race as many times as you want. Attendees of all ages are welcome to participate. LEGO Minifigure Poster Contest: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM Design your own LEGO minifigure for Sequoyah-Con 2024! Submissions will be on display all day at the Woodstock Public Library on March 23rd, and attendees will vote on their favorite design. The poster with the most votes will win a LEGO kit! Poster templates can be picked up and returned at the Woodstock and Rose Creek libraries. Posters must be returned by Monday, March 18th to participate in the contest. For participants of all ages. LEGO Scavenger Hunt: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM Can you find the LEGOs hidden around the library at Sequoyah-Con? Complete your scavenger hunt sheet for a prize! For participants of all ages. LEGO Craft: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM Stop by the children’s area upstairs for a LEGO-themed craft! All ages are welcome to craft with us. Available while supplies last. Let’s Build Together! Storytime: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM It’s storytime⁠—at Sequoyah-Con! Join us for singing, dancing, reading, and playing. Children must be accompanied by an adult. LEGO Harry Potter Dungeons and Dragons: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM Join Dungeon Master Shanna and the Woodstock Public Library for a special, Harry Potter LEGO-themed D&D 5e adventure for Sequoyah-Con! Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop RPG players of all ages are welcome but please keep in mind that this program may be too advanced for younger children. Registration required. LEGO Star Wars Dungeons and Dragons: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM Join Dungeon Master Rebecca and the Woodstock Public Library for a special, Star Wars LEGO-themed D&D adventure for Sequoyah-Con! Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop RPG players of all ages are welcome but please keep in mind that this program may be too advanced for younger children. Registration required. LEGO Pathfinder: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM Join Dungeon Master Luke and the Woodstock Public Library for a special, Lego-themed Pathfinder adventure for Sequoyah-Con! Pathfinder and other tabletop RPG players of all ages are welcome but please keep in mind that this program may be too advanced for younger children. Registration required. LEGO Snack Building: 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM Stop by our LEGO snack station and make your own LEGO graham cracker snack to enjoy. All supplies provided. No registration required. LEGO Speed Build Competition: 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM Test your LEGO building skills with the ultimate Speed Build Competition at Sequoyah-Con! There will be separate Kids (0-11), Teens (12-18), and Adult (19+) divisions. Each division’s winner will get a LEGO set for their prize! All ages welcome. No registration required, but space in the competition may be limited. LEGO Robotics Team Demonstration: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM Meet the E.T. Booth LEGO Robotics Team. See some cool LEGO Robots and learn how one day you could become a First LEGO League team builder. No registration required. Computer Coding with LEGOs: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM Learn how to build up your coding skills in Scratch by including LEGOs and other fun elements! Part of our day of Sequoyah-Con 2024! Kids of all ages and coding skill levels are welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.
