City of Woodstock Mayor Michael Caldwell Visits Woodstock Public Library for Mayor Storytime

City of Woodstock Mayor Michael Caldwell visited the Woodstock Public Library on September 16 as part of the Mayor’s Reading Club initiative. Mayor Caldwell read a storybook aloud and participated in a craft with community members in attendance.

The event took place in the Woodstock Public Library Community Room, where community members could meet with Mayor Caldwell and listen to him read The Artist Who Painted A Blue Horse by Eric Carle.

Launched in 2022, the goal of the Mayor’s Reading Club is to improve literacy skills and success with early reading in children and youth in Georgia cities. The program is a part of Georgia City Solutions, a Georgia Municipal Association nonprofit.
